While you sleep the lenses will gently and painlessly reshape your cornea, temporarily correcting the prescription that causes blurry vision. The correction is not permanent so your eyes will go back to their original prescription if you stop wearing the overnight lenses.
The cornea, the clear dome shaped surface of your eyeball, is soft and malleable. It helps focus light toward the back of our eye and onto our back lining of the eye called the retina. If your cornea does not focus light properly this results in blurry vision which we diagnose either as myopia (nearsightedness), hyperopia (farsightedness), and/or astigmatism (different curvatures – like a football instead of a basketball).
