MiSight® 1 Day, our daily contact lens myopia control program. This daily lens Myopia Control program is designed to slow the progression of myopia (nearsightedness) and reduce the risks associated with high nearsighted prescriptions. This FDA approved, child-friendly, daily disposable contact lens is proven to slow the progression of nearsightedness in children.
MiSight® 1 day contact lenses from CooperVision is a daily disposable contact lens with ActivControl® Technology, which not only corrects nearsightedness but they’re also the first soft contact lenses proven to slow the progression of myopia in children in children aged 8-12 at initiation of treatment.
Although, soft multifocal contacts have been used off-label for many years, MiSight is the only FDA approved contact lens on the market today. The studies have shown that MiSight works at slowing the progression of myopia by slow elongation of the eye in children and young adults. This research is on-going and looks promising.
